Volante of Ville

Designed and built by Camper & Nicholson of Gosport in 1961, Volante of Ville is a 38 foot classic cruiser, racing yacht.

We have had the privilege of looking after her since 2008, during which time we have carried out many extensive repairs and refit projects – including; the removal and replacement of her iron strap floors, heads deconstructed and then rebuilt.

We also commissioned a new mast to be made, which we then stepped and rigged.

More recently, we fitted new keel bolts with a freshly tarred felt gasket and then successfully re-splined her hull top-sides planking in 2021.

Many of the works were undertaken with the advice of trusted wooden boat surveyor, Mike Andrews, who we work with on a regular basis.

We have been fortunate to develop great relationships with successive owners of Volante over the years, whilst sharing the challenges and commitments of looking after a wooden yacht of this calibre.
